A production cel from the Nepenthe Studios animated cult classic "Watership Down" (1978). Featuring Bigwig, Hazel, Dandelion, and Pipkin, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the film. The image is seen at about 38:40 when Big Wig listens into the tunnel and believes he hears the Black Rabbit of Inle. Measuring 10.5”x13” overall, with the character image measuring 7.25”x11”, the cel is in very good condition with minor edge and corner wear. The cel is paired with a color printed reproduction background for presentation purposes.
