A production cel and background setup from the Nepenthe Studios animated cult classic "Watership Down" (1978). Featuring Hazel’s Spirit, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the film. This image is seen as about 55:28 when Fiver has a vision of his spirit and Hazel’s spirit playing, shortly before Hazel is shown to still be alive. Measuring 10.5”x15” overall, with the character image measuring 1.5”x2.25”, the setup is in very good condition with light edge and corner wear and notable creasing to upper left corner of the background corner.
