A production cel from the Walt Disney Studios animated film “The Prince and the Pauper” (1990). Featuring royal guard Pete holding up Pauper Mickey in a scene lit in nighttime coloring, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the cartoon. The piece is hand-signed in the lower right by Disney Legend Andreas Deja, the lead animator for Mickey on this film. Measuring 12.5”x17” overall, with the character image measuring 5”x7”, the cel is in very good condition minimal surface wear.
