A production cel from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Magneto and Mystique while they are fighting with Apocalypse, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and is seen at about 8:39 in the season four episode "Beyond Good and Evil, Part 4: End and Beginning." Both character cels are from the same scene but are not precisely matching each other. Measuring 12.5"x10.5" overall, with the character image measuring 6"x10.25", the cel is in very good condition with minor surface wear including scratches, light black line fade, and paper backing transfer stuck to the reverse of the paint from storage and studio use. The cel has been paired with a reproduction color copy background for presentation purposes.
