A production cel from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Gambit in battle with Earthquake from the Shi’ar Imperial Guard, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and is seen at about 17:46 in the season three episode "The Phoenix Saga, Part 4: The Starjammers." The setup is comprised of two cel layers that are from the same scene but do not match precisely. Measuring 10.5"x12.5" overall, with the character image measuring 7.5"x7.25", the cel is in very good condition with minor surface wear, light line fade, and paper stuck to the reverse from production use and storage. The cel has been paired with a color copy reproduction background for presentation purposes.
