Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the whole Peanuts gang is well remembered for the animated specials which continue to play a role in childhood for generations today, but their role in American pop culture goes back into the 1950s. The Peanuts Sunday comics started in 1952, and their popularity resulted in promotional tie-ins with the likes of Ford and Dolly Madison, predating their non-commercial animated arrival by a decade. This is an original large marketing billboard from the Dolly Madison breads cross promotion with classic Charles Schulz Peanuts characters. This signage features Charlie Brown. It was created by the Dolly Madison company for their promotional purposes in the 1950s and features a 1952 copyright. The image silk-screened paint on masonite board. The overall measurements of the piece are 48" x 36" and the image itself measures 41" x 32.5". The marketing & promotional materials is in very good condition with edge wear and chipping from use.
