This is an original production cel from the Walt Disney Studios production Fantasia (1940). This hand-painted cel features the white mother pegasus and the baby black pegasus. It was created at the studio and used during production, representing an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the cartoon. The overall measurements of the piece are 17.5" x 21.25" framed with th emat opening measuring 10.25" x 12.25" and the image itself measures 4" x 9.5". The cel is in very good condition and was originally prepared for sale at the Courvoisier Galleries with the cels be trimmed to image and applied to a custom airbrushed background.
