This is an original cel featuring imagery from the Walt Disney Studios animated feature Fantasia (1940). This hand-painted cel was created in 1987 and features Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer's Apprentice with one of the magical mops, and was created at the studio in the development of a hand-painted limited edition. This image was released as a limited edition, but this particular cel was not numbered and released as part of the series. It was likely painted as a test cel to verify the colors and imagery for the final edition that was released to the public. The overall measurements of the piece are 12.5" x 15.5" and the image itself measures 5.75" x 8".
