This is an original model cel from the Walt Disney Studios production of Song of the South (1946). This hand-pained cel features a very upset Brer Bear holding Brer Fox up to his face, and was created at the studio and used during the production of the film. Model cels are created at the studio during production in the same manner as production cels and are used by animators and the ink and paint department to ensure that the characters design and coloring remains consistent throughout the film. The overall measurements of the piece are 12.5" x 15.5" and the image itself measures 8" x 8.5". The cel is paired with a color copy reproduction background and is in excellent condition.
