The Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues under the Sea has long been one of the most beloved pieces of science fiction film history. In 2005, Master Replicase designed this 31" long, "studio scale", model of the iconic vessel with the assistance of SFX specialist Scott Brodeen. The model was produced in an edition of only 1500 pieces and is highly detailed reproduction of the style of model that would have been used by the studio during production. The ship itself features more than 19,000 rivet details, a removable lifeboat skiff, bubble windows revealing details of the captains wheelhouse and other areas, propellors, anchors, and other highly sculpted points of attention. The base features a blue reflective platform to create a water-like tone to the underside of the ship, and a separate Nautiuls plaque is also included. Measuring 31"x6" and about 6" tall not including the base, the model is in fine condition.
