A multi cel setup from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring the X-Men standing in Professor X’s hospital room, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cels are actual frames of animation that were photographed and are seen at about 15:14 in the series finale episode "Graduation Day." The characters are on 3 cel layers that don’t appear quite like this in the episode, but are setup for a more cohesive group presentation. Measuring 10.5"x21.5" overall, with the character image measuring 7.25"x13.5", the cel is in very good condition with minor surface wear including scratches, light black line fade, and paper backing transfer stuck to the reverse of the paint from storage and studio use. The cel has been paired with a reproduction color copy background for presentation purposes.
