X-Men The Phoenix Saga, Part III: Cry of the Banshee Matching Production Cel and Background (1994) - ID: jul24036

A matching multi-layer production cel and background from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Rogue, Gambit, and Jubilee as they visit Jean Grey in the hospital, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. Both pieces create an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season three episode "The Phoenix Saga, Part III: Cry of the Banshee," which aired on September 7, 1994. Measuring 10.25"x14" overall, with the character image measuring 7"x9.25", the cel and background are in very good condition. The cel displays minor surface wear, light line fade, production-related adhesive residue, and paper transfer to the paint on the reverse from studio use and storage. The background shows minor edge and corner wear and production-related adhesive residue.
