This is a rare original Christmas card from 1944 depicting Doc from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. During the 1940s wartime, Disney Studios was limited on budget and supplies due to the way effort. these limitations let to the studio being involved with wartime films and military division logo designs. This card's image of Doc building a toy Naval destroyer was created for this division of the military and used in the card as well as made into a small print on paper. this collection includes a copy of the card that was cute and reattached together to show off the card's exterior design, a fully in tact card that was used and features a hand-written letter, and the additional print off Doc's image. the pieces had been previously framed, so they are in good condition overall with some wear from use and healing that would have occurred prior to the previous framing. The print measures 10" x 8" with a 6.5" x 5.5" image, The altered card showing the two sides measures 6" x 5", and the complete card with the hand-written letter measures 6.5" x 10.5". The print is in excellent condition. Both variations of the card have some tape on the back sides from the framing, and the letter also has some wear to the back that appears to be from adhesive removal tearing at the paper fibers.
