Sonic the Hedgehog Commercial Bumper Production Cel and Background - ID: oct23281

A production cel and background from the DiC Studios animated series, "Sonic the Hedgehog" (1993). Featuring a fabulous image of Sonic the Hedgehog in a hot dog hot air balloon, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual held still frame of animation that was photographed and appears in a cartoon as a bumper between the shows action and a commercial break. Due to the still shot nature of bumpers, few pieces were made and are rare to find. Measuring 12"x15" overall, with the character image measuring 7"x8.5", the artwork is in very good condition with minor discoloration, light line wear, and some paint sticking between the cel and background layers.
