This is an original figurine of the Walt Disney Studios character, Jose Carioca. This figurine was created in 1946, during marketing campaign for Three Caballeros. Jose is a Brazilian parrot who was designed with the intention of promoting the United States' partnership with Brazil during WWII. Jose is wearing his standard yellow jacket and is posed leaning on his umbrella and smoking his cigar. The figure measure about 6" x 3.5" x 3" and was created by Evan K Shaw in cooperation with American Potter and Disney Studios, and a portion of the original sticker is still present on the figure.
