A production cel from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Colossus and Jubilee as they fight back against the military, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and is seen at about 12:06 in the season two episode "Red Dawn.” The characters are on two cel layers that do not match precisely as they appear on screen. Measuring 10.5"x12.5" overall, with the character image measuring 8"x7.5", the cel is in very good condition with minor surface wear, slight line wear, and backing paper stuck to the reverse of the paint from studio use and storage. The cel is paired with a color copy reproduction background for presentation purposes.
