A photostat model sheet from the Walt Disney Studios animated Silly Symphony short "Mother Goose Goes Hollywood" (1938). Featuring a caricature of Charles Laughton as a sailor in Rub-a-dub-dub, the model sheet was created at the studio and used during the animation process. Model sheets were printed at the studio and distributed to the animators to ensure consistent character design. Measuring 10”x12.5” overall, with the character image measuring 9”x11”, the model sheet is in condition with minor age related discoloration, light edge wear, and staple holes.
