An original pan production cel from the Walt Disney Studios animated film "Sleeping Beauty" (1959). Featuring Flora in the process of crafting the iconic gown Aurora wears at the end of the film, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the film. Remarkably the cel appears to be untrimmed, exhibiting the lengthy layout utilized to take advantage of the film's Super Technirama 70 presentation. Measuring 12.5"x30 overall and with the character image measuring 6.5"x4.25", the cel is in very good condition with minor line wear on Flora's skirt and ankle. The piece has been paired with a reproduction color copy background for display purposes, Merryweather is part of the printed image and not part of the background.
