A production cel from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring a fantastic close-up of Jean Grey in tears with the weight of her past and future as the Phoenix, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the sixteenth episode of season three, titled "The Dark Phoenix Saga, Part 3: The Dark Phoenix," which aired on November 19, 1994. Measuring 9"x10.5" overall, with the character image measuring 8"x10", the cel is in very good condition with light surface scratches, minor line fade, and paper transfer to the reverse of the paint from storage.
