Disneyland Souvenir Ashtray Holder and Ashtrays (c.1960s) - ID: dec23032

A souvenir ashtray set from Disneyland. Featuring Tinker Bell and Sleeping Beauty Castle on the lid, the set was originally sold at the park in the 1960s, when smoking was considered a cultural norm. Smoking was so popular at the time that these sets were considered decorative items to invite and encourage smoking within the house. The lid is removed to reveal two personal ashtrays that each feature a gold-tone Disneyland logo. The castle image on the lid of the box can be seen on other ceramic pieces of that era to create home decor collections. Each ashtray measures 4"x3" with the box measuring 5.5"x4" and 2" deep. The set is in very good condition with minor age related wear and soiling, and places of adhesive residue on the top of the lid in the upper left hand corner.
