A production cel from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Jean Grey weakened by the power of the Phoenix, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season three episode titled "The Phoenix Saga, Part 4: The Starjammers," which aired on September 8, 1994. Measuring 10.5"x12.5" overall, with the character image measuring 4.5"x2.5", the cel is in very good condition with minimal surface wear, minor line wear, and backing paper stuck to the reverse of the paint from studio use and storage. The cel is paired with a color copy reproduction background for presentation purposes.
