A children's hardcover book inspired by the Disney Studios animated Silly Symphony short "The Tortoise and the Hare" (1935). Featuring several beautiful black and white illustrations of the big race between Toby and Max Hare, the first edition copy includes the original dust jacket. Published by Whitman Publishing Co., the storybook was written and illustrated by the Disney Studio Staff. Measuring 9"x10" and .25" thick, the book is in very good condition with wear throughout, cover tears, a signature on the first couple pages, and discoloration.
