A production cel and background from the DiC Studios animated series, "Sonic the Hedgehog" (1993). Featuring a fantastic image of Sonic the Hedgehog, Scratch and Grounder, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual held still frame of animation that was photographed and appears in a cartoon as a bumper between the shows action and a commercial break. The still shot nature of bumpers results in a piece of art that is much more rare than other pieces of production art. Measuring 12"x15" overall, with the character image measuring 8.5"x10", the artwork is in very good condition with minor discoloration, light line wear, and the paint is sticking between the cel and background layers.
