A photostat print of a background layout concept from the Disney Studios animated film, "The Black Cauldron" (1985). Featuring an intricate concept of the Horned King's ominous entry gate, the imagery was created by legendary layout and animation artist Mike Hodgson. The photostat was created at the studio and used for reference during production, and as such there are handwritten notes across the image providing feedback to the animators. Measuring 11.25"x25" with an image size of 6.25"x15.75", the photostat is in very good condition with minor edge wear, a black panel attached to the left edge with tape, and handwritten notes across the image.
