A ceramic figurine inspired by the Disney Studios animated film "Pinocchio" (1940). Featuring Gideon the cat, the figurine was produced by Goebel in the 1950s, and still has its original label from production on Gideon’s pants. Due to the success of Goebel's prolific M.I Hummel line, Walt Disney granted the company a license in 1952 to begin producing ceramics based on the Studios beloved characters. Measuring 2.5”x3.25” and 4.5” tall, Gideon is in very good condition.
