1950s Pinocchio Figaro Three Orphan Kittens Salt & Pepper Shakers - ID: goebel0031fig

A ceramic salt and pepper shaker set inspired by the 1940 Disney Studios film Pinocchio. Featuring a black kitten with a yarn ball and a woven basket, the basket has a manufacturer sticker labeling the character as Figaro (Figaro fits nicely atop the basket for storage or display). The set was produced by Goebel in the 1950s, and the character, as well as the pose with the yarn basket, more likely resembles Tuffy from the Disney book The Three Orphan Kittens. Figaro measures 2.25”x1.5”x2.75” tall, and the basket measures 2” in diameter and 1.25” tall. The two shakers are in very good condition with minimal wear from age.
