This is an original production cel from the Walt Disney Studios production The Little Mermaid (1989). The hand-painted cel features Ariel swimming to the surface of the water as she daydreams about being part of the human world. It was created at the studio and used during production, representing an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the beloved scene. The overall measurements of the piece are 15" x 20" matted with the mat opening measuring 10" x 15". The cel measures 11.25" x 17" and the image itself measures 5.5" x 5". The production cel is in very good condition with a matching reproduction background.
