This is an original production cel from the Walt Disney Studios production of The Black Cauldron (1985). This hand-painted cel features the original design for King Eidilleg as he emerges from a flower to meet Taran, Eilonwy, and Fflewdder. The design of the fair folk was drastically changed and this scene was reanimated, but you can find video of the storyboard tests from the original version of the scene. This cel and was created at the studio and used during the production of the film. The overall measurements of the piece are 16.25" x 19.25" and the image itself measures 8" x 8", 9.5" x 12.5". The cel is in excellent condition.
