This is an original production cel and background setup from the Walt Disney Studios production of Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree (1966). This setup features hand-painted cels of Pooh and his red balloon which are trimmed to image and applied to a hand-painted production background of the tree trunk and sky. Both pieces were created at the studio and used during the production of the film, the first of the Winnie the Pooh films. Pooh's image comes from the opening of the film, after he dances across the lettering of the title, the balloon appears to be from the sequence with Christopher Robin holding the balloon, and the background is from the sequence when Pooh first climbs up the tree. All three pieces are from different spots, but were setup as they are by the studio as a lovely presentation piece, and all three pieces do appear in the final film. The overall measurements of the piece are and the image itself measures .
