An original ceramic figurine inspired by the Disney Studios animated Silly Symphonies short "Three Little Pigs" (1933). Featuring a charming rendering of Practical Pig in his usual blue overalls and red cap, the figurine was produced by Evan K. Shaw Pottery in 1956. Through the 1940s and 1950s, the Evan K. Shaw Pottery company and its sister companies, Metlox and American Pottery, produced a wide range of ceramics. In 1943, they were granted approval as a licensee to produce a range of Disney characters. These companies are no longer in business, and their highly desirable figurines are increasingly rare. Measuring 1.25"x.5" and .75" tall, the figurine is in very good condition with a small amount of adhesive on the back side of the figure.
