This is an original production cel setup from the Walt Disney Studios production of the Pedro the Mail Plane segment of Saludos Amigos (1942). This setup features Pedro and the vulture face to face in mid air and was created at the studio and used during the production of the film, representing actual imagery that was photographed and appears in the film. The images of the characters are trimmed to the actual image and applied to a new cel layer which was then paired with a custom prepared background (Pedro's antenna is part of the custom reproduction background). Pedro is one of the more rare segments to find artwork from and a setup featuring two characters from the film is exceptionally rare to come across. The overall measurements of the piece are 15.5" x 17" matted with the opening measuring 8.5" x 11" and the images measure 5" x 4" for the vulture and 4" x 4" for Pedro. The setup is in excellent condition.
