An original limited edition multiplane painting created by the Courvoisier Galleries featuring Wynken, Blynken and Nod from the 1938 Walt Disney Silly Symphony. In addition to preparing and selling original animation art, Courvoisier also experimented with limited editions and specialty products based on animation techniques and featuring recreated imagery from some of the most popular Disney films of the time. This multiplane painting was produced by Courvoisier Gallery in the 1940s as a celebration of Walt Disney Productions' famous multiplane technique, and is created with hand-painted imagery on multiple layers of glass, which are stacked on top of each other and framed. The piece measures 8.25"x8.75"x1.5" overall, with the image area measuring 5.5"x6". The artwork comes in the original Courvoisier molded paper frame and is in very good condition with wear to the frame, including scuffs and light cracking.
