This is an original layout drawing from the MGM Studios production of The Dog House (1952). This long pan drawing features the background layout imagery for a common scene in the short that is used repeatedly, and was created at the studio and used during the production of the film. Although this drawing was used for the background, there are red pencil outlines of Tom and Spike drawn on the layout to assist with the background positioning. The overall measurements of the piece are 10.5" x 77" and the image itself measures 8.75" x 73.5". The piece is in good condition with quite a bit of wear from use, including a tear on the bottom edge that has been repaired. This drawing has been stored folded for decades (as is common with these large drawings), and it will also ship folded.
