X-Men The Phoenix Saga, Part III: Cry of the Banshee Matching Production Cel and Background (1994) - ID: jul24051

A matching multi-layer production cel and background setup from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring a great group image of Banshee, Moira MacTaggert, and Professor X, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. Both the cel and background create an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season three episode "The Phoenix Saga, Part III: Cry of the Banshee," which aired on September 7, 1994. Measuring 10"x14" overall, with the character image measuring 7.75"x9.75", the piece is in very good condition. The cel displays minor scratches, surface wear, light line fade, and minimal paper transfer to the reverse of the paint from studio storage. The background shows minimal edge and corner wear and pieces of production-related tape to the background cel overlay.
