A production cel from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring a side profile of Captain Britain as he is alerted by the signal of the Phoenix, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears the season three episode titled "The Phoenix Saga, Part 4: The Starjammers," which aired on September 8, 1994. Captain Britain only makes this one, extremely brief cameo in the entire series. Measuring 10.5"x12.5" overall, with the character image measuring 8.25"x8.25" including the effect layer, the cel is in very good condition with minor surface wear, light line wear, and backing paper stuck to the reverse of the paint from studio use and storage. The cel is paired with a color copy reproduction background for presentation purposes.
