This is a production cel and background setup from a film that was produced by the US Military's top secret Lookout Mountain film studio. This stunning setup is accomplished in pastel on colored paper and hand-painted and hand-inked lines on 6 cel layers. This particular piece appears to be from a military educational film regarding the then new NORAD facility in the Cheyenne Moutains of Colorado. This film was likely from the late 1960s, after the Cheyenne facility was finished in 1966. The overall measurements of the piece are 10.5" x 13.5" and the image itself measures 9" x 12.5". The piece is in very good condition with some cel layers stuck together and some paint lifting/wear from being stuck together.
