A concept painting from the Fox Studios animated film “Ice Age” (2002). Featuring the silhouettes of Manny, Sid, and Diego walking through a clearing in the wilderness with a gloomy sky overhead, the painting was created at the studio and used during the animation process. This painting was created by studio concept artist Michael Rose, and the painting is hand-signed by the artist below the imagery. Concept imagery is created early in development to suggest and finalize the general layout, color palette, and characters present in a film’s scene. Measuring 4.5”x7” overall, with the image area measuring 4”x6.25”, the concept painting is in very good condition with light edge wear, tape on edges, pin holes in the corners, and a rough upper right corner.
