An original background color key concept that we believe to be from the unfinished Don Bluth Studios animated film Little Blue Whale (1980s). Featuring a speed boat cruising between two fighting ships, the concept painting was created at the studio during the film's development process. Don Bluth Productions uniquely used these concepts not only to develop the scene's color palette, style, and emotion, but also as storyboards to visualize the full story development. Measuring 8.25"x6.25" overall and with the image area measuring 5.5"x5", the background color key concept is in fine condition with two pin holes on the top edge and minor wear from studio use and handling.
