An original background color key concept from the Don Bluth Studios animated film The Pebble and the Penguin (1995). Featuring an arctic seascape, the concept painting was created at the studio and used during the film's development. Don Bluth Productions uniquely used these concepts not only to develop the scene's color palette, style, and emotion, but also as storyboards to visualize the full story development. Measuring 5.5"x13.5" overall and with the image area measuring 5"x13.5", the background color key concept is in fine condition with minor wear from studio use and handling.
