An original background color key concept from the Don Bluth Studios animated film The Secret of NIMH (1982). Featuring Mrs. Brisby on an overlay cel, the concept painting was created at the studio during the film's development process. Don Bluth Productions uniquely used these concepts not only to develop the scene's color palette, style, and emotion, but also as storyboards to visualize the full story development. Measuring 6.75"x10.5" overall, with the cel measuring 5.25"x9.25", and with the character image measuring 1"x.75", the background color key concept is in very good condition with some build up and discoloration due to age and storage.
