This is a commemorative coin issued by the US Mint in Philadelphia in 1968. The front of the medallion is a picture of Walt Disney designed and sculpted by Blaine Gibson. The reverse side shows Mickey Mouse in the middle surrounded by the faces of Donald Duck, Pinocchio, Goofy, Bambi, Pluto, Fiddler Pig, Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh, Jiminy Cricket, Snow White and Dopey, and was designed by Bob Moore and executed by Joe Kaba. The coin has been mounted in a frame measuring 14.5" x 10.5" framed, with a description of the coin also displayed. The coin measures 3" in diameter, and is about .25" thick, and 8 ounces in weight.
