A press kit with promotional materials for the new Star Tours attraction at the Disneyland Resort, which opened in January of 1987. Star Tours was the first Disneyland attraction to be based on non-Disney intellectual property, in this case, George Lucas's iconic space adventure, "Star Wars" (1977). Featuring a star covered folder with the vibrant logo of the new attraction, the press kit opens to reveal four press releases detailing the attraction, its origin, and the process of taking it from an idea to a reality. The backside of the unique press release paper is decorated with a repeated pattern of the Star Tours logo. Measuring 12"x9" overall, the folder is in good condition with some wear including staining along top edge of the folder, small creases along the edges and spine, and printed text rubbed off onto the inside of the left folder flap. The pages are in good condition with light handling wear and discoloration due to age and use.
