"And then, they'll do something I hate most of all...." proclaims the cantankerous Grinch as he describes the Whos singing their holiday songs. This is an original production cel from the Chuck Jones/MGM Studios animated Christmas classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966). This hand-painted cel features a close up of the curmudgeonly Grinch with his gnarled teeth. The cel was created at the studio and used during production, representing an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the cartoon about 6:05 into the film. The cel is hand-signed by legendary animator Chuck Jones and is paired with a color printed reproduction of the matching background. This piece is accompanied by the original studio COA. The overall measurements of the piece are 16" x 18.5" matted with the mat opening measuring 9.5" x 12" and the image itself measures 10" x 4.5". The cel is in very good condition.
