"I wouldn't touch you with a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole!" chimes in the infamous line of the Grinch's theme song as Max holds up a mirror to show the Grinch how he looks in his hand-made Santa hat. This is an original production cel from the Chuck Jones/MGM Studios animated Christmas classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966). This hand-painted cel features Max and the Grinch. The cel was created at the studio and used during production, representing an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the cartoon. The cel is hand-signed by legendary animator Chuck Jones and is paired with a color printed reproduction of the matching background. This piece is accompanied by the original studio COA and the back of the framing has been hand-signed, dated, and personalized by Chuck Jones on 12/25/95. The overall measurements of the piece are 18.5" x 21" framed with the mat opening measuring 8.5" x 11" and the image itself measures 6" x 6". The cel is in very good condition.
