A pair of original layout drawings from the Ralph Bakshi Studios animated short "The Butter Battle Book" (1989). Featuring a fantastic image of the Cat in the Hat and a Dr.Seuss book on a stand, the graphite drawings were created at the studio and used during the animation process of the adaptation of the Dr. Seuss book of the same name. They appear to be from an interstitial segment introducing the upcoming cartoon. Measuring 10.5"x12.5" overall, with the character images measuring 9.25"x5.5” and 9.5"x11.75", the drawing is in very good condition with minor wear from age and handling including edge wear, discoloration, smudging, and creases on the bottom corners.
