A production cel from a Hanna Barbera Studios animated production of “Super Friends” from the 1980s. Featuring Batman, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the cartoon. There is a second layer with an effect resembling laser lighting blocking Batman’s passage. Measuring 10.5”x12.5” overall and with the character image measuring 8.25”x8.25”, the cel is in good condition with light surface and line wear and small spots of paint loss in Batman’s cape, boots, cowl, and glove areas. The layer with the laser/lighting effects has some adhesive residue on the bottom edge.
