A production cel progression from the Film Roman Studios animated series “Garfield and Friends” (1988-1994). Featuring Garfield playfully yelling into Odie’s ear, the hand-painted cels were created at the studio and used during the animation process. Each piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the cartoon. The three images create a sequence of motion as would have been seen in the episode. The setup has been hand-signed by the creator of Garfield, Jim Davis. Measuring 10.5”x27” as set up together, with each cel layer measuring 10.5”x12.5” and the overall character image area measuring 6”x19.25”, the cel progression is in very good condition with light edge wear, adhesive tape along the edges attaching the cels to the copy background, and minimal line wear.
